On the first Sunday of each month, jazz performers and enjoyers gather at Montpelier Performing Arts Hub for a hybrid concert/jam session. VJF curates the performance portion of the series, bringing a revolving cast of Vermont jazz greats to the stage to present a set of their prepared music. As soon as the featured ensemble finishes their set, the event transforms to an open jam, with audience members joining the band to sing and play their favorite tunes. This event serves as a recurring performance opportunity for local jazz musicians, a live listening experince for audience members, and an exceptional educational opportunity for students of the music.
