The Vermont Jazz Ensemble

For over 50 years, The Vermont Jazz Ensemble has performed and recorded big band music in the green mountain state. Founded by Bear Irwin and Rich Davidian in 1976, VJE has shared the stage with a plethora of local and national acts including Joe Williams, Dianne Schuur, Bob Hope, Tito Puente, Bob Newhart, Denis DiBlasio, Ray Vega, Dave Mancini, Aly Ryerson, Chris Vadala, and Robin Eubanks. Playing an eclectic mix of beloved standards and contemporary compositions, VJE delights audiences in Vermont and beyond with their exciting solos, seasoned ensemble work, and classic big band sound. The band has released three studio albums, the latest of which, Just Friends For Life, was sponsored by The Vermont Jazz Foundation and is available on all major streaming platforms.
